FN newsletter - 03-07-2021: the latest news and public consultations
By Fitzrovia News • Issue #8 • View online
Please be aware that there are Covid-19 restrictions in London. Follow the latest NHS, and Government guidance. Visit Camden Council’s coronavirus web page or Westminster Council’s coronavirus web page.
Fitzrovia is again caught between useless Camden and Westminster’s nasty Tories. In our last newsletter we reported on the latest plans for Oxford Street and the displacement of motor traffic into Fitzrovia. In this edition we report that some of our loveliest street trees have been hacked in half to make way for that extra traffic. So much for greening the neighbourhood. Both councils have got it in for us, it seems. What’s new?…
We still plan to produce a full-size printed newspaper (FN162) later this summer. This will be a full colour paper with mostly features including some which have appeared online since June 2020.
As always, thanks to all our lovely contributors for sending us your photos and articles. If you have an idea for a story, please get in touch.
– Linus Rees, editor
